For nearly three years the Moonshine collective has hosted its lunar-based monthly event at unpredictable locations across Montréal. Focusing on the sweaty fringes of electronic music and the African sounds that inform them, the crew has hosted a wide swath of guests:Branko, Venus X, Kaytranada and DāM-FunK among them. Moonshine is as a family – and it is in this spirit that Red Bull Music Academy is pleased to partner in expanding that community with a two room event of late summer jams. Local residents Pierre KwendersBonbon KojakM.Bootyspoon and Odile Myrtil will be joined by Toronto selector Bambii and Portugal’s DJ Marfox with a little help from New York’s TygapawLe1f and Total Freedom. Buckle up for what’s to be an intoxicating celebration of diversity and dance culture.
