Moonshine x Pride Toronto (Made in Canada) Toronto, ON

OLG Central Stage
508 Church Street
Friday, July 1, 2016 3:00pm – Saturday, July 2, 2016 2:00am

Event information : http://www.pridetoronto.com/pride-month/events/made-in-canada/

This has been an incredible year for Canadian music, atop the pop charts and in the sweatiest of underground scenes. Made in Canada is a massive block party in the centre of The 6ix that will get that maple syrup dripping and those beavers bumping.

Our headliners are the biggest, bashiest, queer hip hop/rnb/dancehall jam–Yes Yes Y’all.  Moonshine, an electrifying afterhours party from Montreal, will join the action to light up the rainbow and get all the bodies moving.

Diego Armand (Business Women’s Special), Frustra, Chiclet and Craig Dominic will be kicking it off and rocking the block.  The party is hosted by Canadian darling Hamilton Elliott, the first trans contestant on The Amazing Race Canada.  Soak up this all-Canadian lineup and feel the liberating energy pulsing through the speakers.

This event is free to attend.

As part of the “Phil Collins” exhibition, the Phi Foundation for Contemporary Art presents four events within the framework of the installation “Bring Down The Walls”. The public is invited to take part in School Days with informative sessions and workshops on prison abolition and social justice, followed by Club Nights organized by Montreal-based music collectives and international guests.

For the third Club Night of this series, the Phi Foundation invites the Montreal collective Moonshine to curate the evening. Featured DJs include Bonbon Kojak and AKAntu, with special guest Ushka from Brooklyn.

About “Bring Down The Walls”:
Organised in May 2018 in New York City by artist Phil Collins, Creative Time, The Fortune Society, and over 100 collaborators, Bring Down The Walls was a three-part public art project which turned an unconventional lens on the prison industrial complex through house music and nightlife.
